I help with the rescue of greyhounds and was transporting a greyhound from Foal Farm at Biggin Hill to Birmingham Greyhound Protection. I was so impressed with the way this charity was run! It is completely unfounded by any other source than others who admire their work. The lady who runs the rescue is dedicated to rescuing greyhounds not just from our local, shores but from Spain, Romania, Ireland and China. Any greyhound is helped! They are such a worthy charity run by dedicated volunteers. I only guessed the approximate date of my visit but have followed their progress with rehoming very closely and am now A home checker for them here in the south east

All of the contact we had with Birmingham Greyhound Protection were carried out in a very professional and competent manner. All of the hounds were in very good health and the kennels were all extremely clean and well maintained. We were invited to take our other rescued greyhound along to meet our new pet before we went through the adoption process to make sure that both animals were happy and comfortable with each other. Happily our boy and his new "sister" hit it off straight away and have been firm friends ever since. Our new girl fit straight in at home. All of the people involved including our girls foster mum were very supportive and have kept in touch to make sure everything is OK. I would highly recommend BGP to anyone who is looking to adopt a rescue greyhound and can not sing their praise highly enough.

Fantastic kennels with dedicated and knowledgable volunteers who truly care for the animals in their care.
The kennels are lovely, the dogs are well cared for and treated so well.
Once you adopt a BGP dog you become part of the BGP community which is so supportive and welcoming.
The after adoption support and advice is excellent even arranging meet ups and dog walks!
All dogs receive dental treatment, check up, vaccinations and are spayed/neutered and microchipped.
Home visits and regular communication ensure the right dog gets the right home and the BGP volunteers and community are always on hand with any issues or concerns.
On behalf of our beautiful boy Shylo - thanks BGP! :)Review by: mizzmash79
