The lady Liz was very rude to us and judgemental, because we had some sterio cables in my bedroom that was visable she said she would have to conduct a home visit on Monday when I had got rid of them and was wasting her time, but rang me back an hour later to say we wernt allowed to have the cats concerned because of the cable in my bedroom which to her deemed us unfit to take 2 cats on, dispite the fact I reared and bought up a pair of cats who passed with old age before and missed them, I told her I was capable but this lady seemed very rude and inhuman, the cable was just a small bundle that was stored for someone we know who was actually collecting it on Friday the following week , but soon as Liz saw this she went mad, even critisized my standard lamp and table lamp wire, Im not silly enough to plug that in with a cat around, most people have them, she was very unfair and very hostile towards me and treated me like a naughty child, I would never recommend a cat from this place, she even wanted to see where I would put their feeding bowles and litter trays, I will go to Cat Protection next time, they are not so hostile and rude to people, I refuse to pay £200 to this woman for a pair of cats in any case, she promised another visit then an hour later said we wasnt allowed to have the cats because of the cables in my room, unfair and hostile lady who shouldnt be doing her job

We adopted Copper (Stevie Nicks). She's a wonderful cat, she sadly lost a leg but the rescue looked after her and nursed her back to health. We now have a wonderful loving girl who has settled right down with us. Received excellent and thorough advice and keep in contact now. No problem is ever to big or small to get advice on.
Well done Lina's, keep up the wonderful work

We were looking for a kitten as a companion for our other kitten and identified Radleigh from Lina's website. From first contact, through visiting him at his foster home, our home visit and then collecting him to bring him home all the staff we came into contact with were very professional and knowledgeable. We were offered advice on settling him in at home and in introducing him to our other kitten and his foster carer remained in contact with us and answered any questions we had. It was obvious from the start of the process that the welfare of their cats and kittens took priority over everything else. As a result we now have a confident and friendly boy who has settled brilliantly into his new home and is part of the family.
I would not hesitate to recommend Lina's.

Possibly the nicest cat rescue I've ever dealt with. They were informative, friendly and the aftercare is exceptional, always there if advice is needed, no matter how small the query.
We adopted our cat from them back in August 2015, and the arrangements were all very efficient, from first visit to home check to collection. At every step you were given all the information you could have asked for and processes were very clearly laid out.
They also knew our cats personality inside and out, probably from the fostering situation. We were given all the warnings about his shy temperament, that sometimes ends with hissing and scratching, but we were well prepared thanks to the knowledge of the rescue. Nothing was sugar coated either, so you knew exactly what you were getting upon adoption, which for us was great.
The home check was thorough and quickly arranged, and all questions were relevant and needed and some helpful advice was given at this stage too.
Can't recommend this rescue enough, the personal touch that comes into caring for the cats is really amazing. Thank you Lina's!

I am so happy that I found Lina's Cat Rescue when I was looking for a companion cat in December 2013. I was attracted to Kip after seeing details on Lina's website and after a visit to his foster home I decided to adopt him at the beginning of January 2014. He settled in quickly and in May 2015 I adopted Kali (previously called Winnie) to join Kip. The two cats get on very well. At every stage I was impressed with the professional and thorough procedure used to ensure the cats were going to a loving home. Lina's priority is the welfare of the cats in their care and the fosterers are dedicated and do a wonderful job in giving the fostered cats a temporary home and helping them to socialise in a family environment. I have no hesitation in recommending Lina's cat rescue to anyone seeking a cat to become part of their family. The Lina's website and Facebook page are a great source of support and information for all cat owners.

Lina's is a fantastic organisation, made even better by the dedication and hard work given by Sheryl and the team. We adopted Hattie in September 2014, and couldnt be happier with the support and service given by not only her fosterer at the time, but also the ongoing support that we have now. Cats are assessed accurately in fosterers homes, so you know exactly the sort of temperament the cats have. We knew that Hattie was assessed, that she was in good health, and we were kept up to date with all the vaccinations, vet checks and chipping etc. Viki was an amazing foster carer. She really took the time to talk to us and made us feel really welcome in her home when we viewed the kittens. I can't recommend Lina's Cat Rescue enough.

We looked around a number of rescues (both big and small) when looking for a new cat and Lina's really stood out. Their ethics and procedures are brilliant. They really make sure all the animals in their care are well looked after, and all are checked by a vet, microchipped and neutered prior to re-homing. I would not hesitate to recommend Lina's to anyone looking for a new cat.

We travelled from Sheffield to Derby to adopt our cat and would do it again. Everyone we spoke to from Linas is helpful and passionate about helping cats. Post adoption there is always someone to answer any questions and queries and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and have recommended them to friends and family.

Cats are fostered in people's own homes - we found the experience and really good - from the viewing and homecheck to the finally picking up our adopted cat.
The rescue does there own funding and only let's a cat leave when fully assessed and in good health x
if your looking to adopt a cat - please use this rescue.
